THE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL DEVELOPMENT IS SET TO GREATLY ENHANCE THE PATIENT EXPERIENCE.
The Memorial Hospital is a private, not-for-profit hospital and is a proud member of the Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance Incorporated (ACHA) in South Australia.
Established as a memorial to the veterans of World War 1, The Memorial Hospital has a long and proud tradition of providing outstanding private healthcare in North Adelaide.
Located in the picturesque parklands, within one kilometre of Adelaide’s CBD, The Memorial Hospital has served the community since 1920. It is committed to providing the highest possible standards of patient care with 100 beds, a Critical Care Unit and medical officers rostered on-site, 24/7.
The Memorial Hospital has a number of exciting new developments underway.
Stage One of the project is complete and includes the expansion of an existing operating theatre and a new consulting suite. The refurbishment of patient accommodation and wards has commenced.
The remainder of the development includes a three-storey project which is due for completion in July 2020. It will feature a Paediatric Day Stay Unit with fifteen day-stay chairs, an additional operating theatre and new staff amenities.
With paediatrics accounting for approximately 20% of overall surgeries each year, this development will make a big difference to South Australian families.
The Paediatric Day Stay Unit will complement the existing paediatric ward in a purpose-built environment ensuring that Memorial KIDS will love their stay.
The development also includes the refurbishment of the reception area and significant infrastructure and support services upgrades.
This project allows the hospital to provide an improved platform for specialists, staff and volunteers and enhance the entire patient experience.
The Memorial Hospital greatly appreciates the patience of all visitors during this process. They will continue to provide progress updates.
