The Memorial Hospital is committed to providing the highest possible standards of patient care for your children.  They make every effort to help young patients feel at ease and love their stay.

Founded in 1920, The Memorial Hospital is a private, not-for-profit hospital and proud member of the Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance Incorporated (ACHA) in South Australia.  That’s almost 100 years of caring for patients!

Did you know that paediatric surgery accounts for approximately 20% of overall surgeries each year?  The Memorial Hospital treats children from all over South Australia, providing care in paediatric subspecialties including:

  • Allergy / Immunology
  • Ophthalmology
  • Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery
  • Paediatric Sleep
  • Paediatric Surgery
  • Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
  • Urology

In the dedicated paediatric ward, your children will be cared for by trained and experienced paediatric nursing staff.  Amenities and services to support Memorial Kids during their stay include a kids’ menu, an activities pack on arrival, a playroom, WIFI access, TV and DVDs, and kitchen facilities.

The Memorial Hospital is currently developing a dedicated Paediatric Day Stay Unit.  As part of a three-storey build, the development will include a new theatre and 15 day-stay chairs, complimenting the existing Paediatric ward.  The expansion is expected to be completed in July, 2020.

In the meantime, The Memorial Hospital will care for the children of South Australia as usual.
