The Adelaide Festival’s Something on Saturday season is back for its 40th year!

Delighting and entertaining children aged 0 to 10 years old every Saturday afternoon from 23rd April to 26th August, 2017. Something on Saturday offers a dazzling array of shows and engaging workshops.  Families have been coming to Something on Saturday for generations, parents who once enjoyed performances when they were young are now returning with their own children!  It’s a fantastic way to introduce young kids to the arts.  Banish the winter blues with a fun experience for the whole family!

Choose from shows celebrating physical theatre, science, slapstick humour, puppetry, live music, storytelling, ballet and circus!  Children are encouraged to sing, dance and have some good old fashion fun.  This year’s programme will kick off with Peter Combe’s ‘A Peter Combe Extravaganza’.  Peter is one of Australia’s best known and most loved children’s entertainers.  He will be rocking the stage, performing all of is favourite hits including the perennially popular ‘Newspaper Mama’ and ‘Spaghetti Bolognese’, as well as songs from his new album.
