Say Yes! to a new style at Harbour Town Adelaide

Together with Harbour Town Adelaide we went in search of women who were feeling disconnected from their personal style. Four lovely ladies were selected from the hundreds of women who entered. Each winner was experiencing style challenges that were both unique to themselves and common amongst many entrants.

Kellie Treleaven is a wife and mother of two young children. Kellie’s husband is living with a terminal illness, so they both stay at home to be with their family. Having the time and money to shop for herself has been out of reach for Kellie.

Former full-time nurse, Paula Kirk, gave up her career to care for her two children with special needs. Paula finds it difficult to shop with her children, plus her husband works long hours, so she often sticks to clothing from her local Big W.

Jo Kroon found shopping for herself difficult. Aside from being unsure about colours and styles, Jo also wears an insulin pump that can be visible under form fitting dresses and skirts, so she was stuck in a jeans rut.

At over 6’1 tall, Katrina Ritchie has struggled with finding clothes of the right length for her frame. Being a mum and working in a creative industry part time, Katrina was unsure of what style would work for her lifestyle and height.

We called in leading fashion expert Jodi Nash to solve these style conundrums. Jodi has more than 20 year’s experience in the industry, in a career that has spanned the globe. She is the former editor of a style magazine and now works as a creative director on some of Australia’s biggest campaigns. Jodi had a clear plan for the style makeover winners – take them out of their comfort zone by trying new trends. Thanks to the fantastic outlet prices at Harbour Town Adelaide, Jodi was able to select trends for less, creating stylish looks that are really budget-friendly. Each winner also enjoyed hair and make-up pampering, creating a gorgeous transformation.

For Paula, Jodi teamed some super flattering pants and a longer line skirt with a jacket to cinch the waist and some killer heels. Jodi focused on clothes that move, are stylish and comfortable, making them the ideal choice for a busy mum. Paula’s look was completed with a soft, flowing hairstyle and a bold lip colour to complement her pretty face.

Jodi advised Kellie to experiment with colour to lift her day to day look, drawing attention to her beautiful brown eyes. Individuality was added with accessories and towering heels.

Jodi got Jo out of her jeans and into a print on print dress with a wrap waist and flowing cut. The style of the dress concealed Jo’s insulin pump, but is still form-fitting to show off her amazing figure.

Jodi encouraged Katrina to see her height as the fabulous asset that it is. Jodi put together a fun and quirky outfit that is perfect for Katrina’s job in a creative industry, with a form-fitting midi skirt to show off her killer legs.

For the ladies, learning from Jodi and reconnecting with their personal style has been transformative

Kellie, “This experience has been so fun. It was so nice to have my hair and make up done and be pampered. I have learnt from Jodi, she has encouraged me to wear more colour, and now I’m going to hit the stores because I have a lot more confidence about going shopping.”

We hope that you have be inspired by these fabulous transformations. Head to Harbour Town Adelaide to find your best look at outlet prices!
