STAGE 1 OF PORT ADELAIDE PLAZA’S EXCITING NEW DEVELOPMENT IS OPENING THIS APRIL.

In November, we brought you the exciting news of the $45 million redevelopment of the Port Canal Shopping Centre.

The transformation into the new and improved Port Adelaide Plaza will see the rebuilding and extension of the existing Port Canal Shopping Centre, making it the most significant retail development in Port Adelaide in 40 years.  The first stage, which is scheduled to open in mid-April, will include an exciting dining precinct, new shopping and services, over 1000 free carparks and a fantastic childcare centre.

Port Adelaide Plaza’s dining precinct will be an exceptional and relaxed destination for couples and families.  Set under wide awnings and featuring alfresco ceiling fans, gas heating and extended trading hours, the precinct is set to become a favourite amongst food lovers.

Diners will be spoilt for choice.  Shanghai Tea House is renowned for their high-quality tea selection that is exclusively imported from China, as well as their delectable, freshly made dumplings.  Adding to the dining experience is the bespoke décor that will be unique to the Shanghai Teahouse brand in South Australia.

In addition, the precinct will be home to Funk Coffee+Food; offering a fun and nutritious menu made using South Australian produce.  Their extensive range of sandwiches, wraps, rolls and more, includes delicious gluten-free and vegetarian options.

Yiros Central is a proudly South Australian, family-owned company with over 25 years’ experience in providing quality Turkish and Greek food.  Their tasty menu will be extended to include breakfast, with fresh produce that is prepped on-site daily. Diners can feast upon yiros and wraps, felafel, AB’s, salad, home-made sauces, and sweet and savoury pastries.

Port Adelaide Plaza will be home to a fantastic new range of shops and services, including Australia Post and Bendigo Bank.  Phone Planet will offer a large range of mobile phones and accessories, as well as a professional repair service. Smokemart will be home to tobacco products, smoking accessories and quirky giftware.  Shoe Express will provide quality shoe repair, key cutting, engraving, watch batteries and repairs.

Visitors can treat themselves thanks to Port Adelaide Plaza.  Newstar Nails’ are experts in acrylic and SNS nails, and waxing.  The Beauty and Brow Parlour will provide a wide range of services such as threading, waxing, tinting, lash extensions and skin treatments.  H Barber’s professional barbers will offer slick haircuts for men and children.

A brilliant addition to Port Adelaide Plaza will be the Paisley Park Early Learning Centre.  Inspired by children’s curiosity and their natural love for learning, this brand new, purpose built childcare centre will be more than just a place to play.  With over 30 years’ experience in early education, Paisley Park provides learning tools to support growing minds.

It’s business as usual at Port Canal Shopping Centre during the redevelopment.

Port Adelaide Plaza will be a must-see destination this April, 2019!
