PLUSH AT HOME WITH AMY ZEMPILAS

Jun 29, 2017 | Reading Time: 3 minutes

In this episode of Plush at Home, fashion and lifestyle blogger Amy Zempilas invited us into her brand new nursery. Shortly expecting her third child with husband, Channel Seven sports presenter Basil Zempilas, the couple are very excited about creating a fresh space for their brand new family member.

When thinking about designing a really special space for her baby, Amy called in an expert. Consulting with friend and interior decorator Susie of Susie Q Designs, Amy chose a simple, elegant colour scheme and a mix of old and new décor.

The gorgeous city view from the nursery works as a stunning backdrop, which inspired Susie and Amy to create a neutral, beautiful grey and white palette, which complements the skyline from the window.

A Toulouse Rocking Chair by Plush was chosen as the feature piece, sitting prominently in the room and serving as a practical addition to the nursery.

Amy particularly loves the whimsical space Susie has helped her create, but she also loves how practical her new Toulouse rocking chair is, saying it will be really handy for those late night feeds, not to mention how gorgeous it looks in the baby’s new room

Luxurious, dreamy and elegant, the Toulouse rocking chair will help babies (and mums!) drift off to sleep in complete comfort. The Toulouse features a stylish tufted wingback design with diamond buttonhole detail. Created for ultimate relaxation and practicality, the armrests are smaller than a normal chair of this sort, offering more shoulder and elbow space, which is perfect for nursing mothers.

Because the Toulouse comes in a white or walnut base with a huge range of attractive fabric and leather covers to choose from, Amy and Susie had no trouble finding the right chair to suit the room. And with a 10-year warranty, Plush chairs are made to last.

Style conscious, yet incredibly sentimental, Amy brought some beautiful new pieces into her baby’s room, as well as some gorgeous handmade crocheted blankets and a crocheted cape her Nanna made.

With only a few short weeks to go and the perfect nursery set up and decorated with love, Amy and her family are so looking forward to meeting their beautiful new addition and we reckon the little one will be very comfortable in their new crib.
