Mother’s Day | Adelaide’s Best Places to Eat, Drink and Celebrate.

Apr 19, 2021 | Reading Time: 4 minutes

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and if you’re looking for the perfect place to celebrate the special women in your life then look no further.

Due to heavy restrictions last year, you may not have been able to spoil your Mum as much as you would have liked to so it’s time to make up for it in 2021!

There’s no better way than with a lovely day out.

Throw in a delicious meal, some drinks and live music – and you’ll be in the good books for the rest of the year.

Here is what’s on offer at some of our favourite venues across Adelaide:

There are plenty of great dining options along Unley Road, Parkside but nothing quite beats The Unley.

With a welcoming and bright interior, The Unley boasts a friendly atmosphere complemented by multiple entertaining zones.

Enjoy a meal or drinks on the gorgeous rooftop, in the casual front bar or upstairs dining area.

There are also plenty of cosy nooks for you to sit by and enjoy a glass of red wine by a roaring fire.

For Mother’s Day, all-day dining is available from 11.30am until 8.30pm but if you plan to stop by for lunch, you will need to book.

The Unley’s à la carte menu offers pub classics done to perfection and delicious Chef’s Selections for something extra special.  Check out their website for exciting drinks specials.

If a long brunch is more your thing, then the Colonist is for you.

Since 1851, The Colonist has been an icon for the suburb of Norwood.

Restored to its former glory, this South Australian institution has been stripped back to its raw beauty with high ceilings, ornate copper roofing and original scenic wallpaper.

There are plenty of dining options inside and out so take advantage of the delicious meals on offer and treat Mum to some of the best pub food Adelaide has to offer.

Breakfast kicks off at 9am with à la carte menu starting at 11.30am with 2 lunch sittings available.

Stop by in the afternoon to take advantage of their $12 cocktail special between 3pm and 6pm.

If you’re escaping for a day trip to the Adelaide Hills, then be sure to drop by The Duck – a little gem in beautiful Coromandel Valley.

Located just half an hour from Adelaide’s city centre, you’ll find open fireplaces surrounded by comfy chesterfields, a picturesque verandah and private atrium seating.

With an extensive range of local and imported beers, wine and cocktail list, as well as a friendly team of staff, you are guaranteed to have such a great experience that you’ll be back again…and again…and again.

If your Mum is a Gin lover, then The Duck is the place for her!

Indulge her in a Gin paddle featuring 3 local and boutique gins of choice.

There will also be a Mother’s Day Hamper giveaway, with free entry for every Mum as well as the chance to win a wine tasting experience at Shingleback Wines.

All of this while you are treated to the sweet acoustic sounds of Hartburn Duo throughout the afternoon.

Happy hour kicks off from 2pm with $12 cocktails, $20 cocktail jugs and $10 share plates.

If you’re stopping by for lunch ensure you book in for one of two lunch sittings – 11.30am or 1.30pm.

If you’ve never been to The Duck before, then why not make a whole day out of it for your special person this Mother’s Day?!
