HYUNDAI TUCSON TEST DRIVE WITH ZOE & HAYESY

Zoe Kelly and Andrew ‘Hayesy’ Hayes were lucky enough to take the very impressive top of the range Hyundai Tucson Highlander for a spin recently and were rather smitten.

The turbo diesel, with its flowing surfaces, sharp lines and a distinctive chrome-framed hexagonal grille creates a powerful and lasting impression.

Hayesy was immediately impressed with how quiet the vehicle is, saying it didn’t even sound like it was running.

“This is a nice looking automobile,” he says. “It’s smooth, very smooth. You can’t even tell the engine’s on.”

With the entry-level price point for the Tucson at $27,000, Zoe can’t get over how inexpensive the Highlander is for a top of the range vehicle.

“At only $47,000 drive away, you get a whole lot of car for that price,” she says.

Maughan Thiem Hyundai Cheltenham have a range of new and used vehicles to suit your budget and lifestyle and the team there are very happy to talk you through what you need in your next car.

And if what you need is luxury at a low price, the Highlander is definitely for you.

Hayesy reckons the car feels a lot more expensive than it’s price because you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Zoe loves the thoughtful features like the glove box, which has a cooling mechanism so you can keep your drinks (like champagne) super cold, and it has a dual zone climate control.

This feature is a marriage saver, according to Hayesy, because each front seat passenger can have their own cooling!

One of Hyundai’s most popular features, and why the cars are such great sellers are the excellent safety standards, such as the five star ANCAP safety rating and five year unlimited kilometre warranty.

The reverse camera is also a must-have, which Hayesy and Zoe tested (very scientifically!).

Another great feature is the 10-year RAA roadside assist – a good one for Hayesy who doesn’t know how to change a tyre.

As well as the safety and roadside assist features, there are some pretty cool little features you won’t find with many other cars at this price point.

The Hyundai Tucson Highlander has an option for heated seats, but also cooling fort the seats, a feature perfect for an Australian summer, and the Apple Car Play is easy to use for calls and connectivity.

And with a stunning panoramic sunroof which gives you the feel of a convertible while protecting you and the family from the elements, it’s easy to see why the Hyundai Tucson Highlander is one of the top selling SUVs in Australia.
