She Shopped founder Lucy Cornes had a ‘Bring Your Husband to Work Day’ and took Kane along to test drive European Car of the Year – the Holden Astra. Usually, Automotive Expert Ben Finnis, joins her for She Shopped Test Drives, but Kane is an ambassador for Hamilton Holden, so Lucy let him take the reins of the Astra to see whether it lives up to the hype the stylish small car has been garnering.

The award winning Holden Astra was designed, engineered and built in Europe and, as well as loving the luxury leather interior, Lucy was a fan of the innovative technology. The Apple Carplay® and Android® Auto phone projection keeps you connected and in control for your entire journey. Kane loved the all turbo performance of the sports switch, and with up to 147kW of power, he reckons it handles pretty well, especially when he put his foot down a bit (despite Lucy’s objection!).

Lucy and Kane were both fans of the superior safety rating. The new Holden Eye® system boasts valuable features like lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking and advanced park assist, putting their drivers first. Kane notes, “You don’t win car of the year without an outstanding safety rating”.

An economical little vehicle, the Astra is built in Europe, but made for Australians, and with a very reasonable entry level price, Holden are again proving why they are still one of Australia’s favourite cars. Join Lucy and Kane, and a whole host of people who are falling in love with the Holden Astra, and take a test drive today. It’s easy, just book your drive with Hamilton Holden here and see why everyone’s talking about the European Car of the Year.
