HITsa IS WAIVING THE $200 STUDENT CONTRIBUTION FEE FOR CERTIFICATE III IN INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT.
HITsa is a registered training organisation that wants to help you during the COVID-19 crisis.
They are giving eligible people free access to study Certificate III in Individual Support, with online and self-paced learning options available for theory units.
You can choose between two specialisations: Disability or Ageing and Home & Community.
If you have been stood down from your job and you would like to re-skill in order to gain work, you may be able to undertake this training free of charge*.
You will be provided with the skills and qualification needed to support individuals living in a range of accommodation options.
You will be provided with the skills and qualification needed to work as an aged care worker, in aged care residences and home and community settings.
As a personal support worker, you will be responsible for assisting clients in their day to day lives. This could include supporting independent living, encouraging community inclusion and improving their quality of life.
You can commence your theory study online, using a learning pack (if you do not have internet access), or face to face (situation permitting).
You will be supported throughout your training journey, with ZOOM meetings and one-on-one mentoring.
HITsa will organise work placement upon the completion of your theory training.
These courses are currently funded by the South Australian Government through the WorkReady initiative.
