She Shopped’s Zoe Kelly and Andrew (Hayesy) Hayes are hitting the road in a brand new Kona Highlander thanks to Maughan Thiem Hyundai at Cheltenham.

And they are taking the little acid yellow SUV out for a serious spin to give you the lowdown on this zippy and impressive car.

There’s four levels in the Kona range with the price points starting at around $25,000 and going up to $35,000 for the top of the range model with on road costs.

Both Hayesy and Zoe loved the affordability of the Kona, which is Hyundai’s entry into the very competitive, small SUV market. It’s got an ASX Mitsubishi feel or a Mazda CX3.

The Kona is named after a Hawaiian Island, and with its bold colours and sleek design, it is just as exotic!

Comfortable, classy and chic, the Kona is super popular with young professionals that want to get noticed because its vibrant colours are a very bold statement.

Andrew thinks the Kona is a lot like the Subaru XV his wife drives. He also reckons if you were to liken the two cars to the Hemsworth brothers, the Kona is Chris and the XV is Luke. They’re both good actors, but you’re always going to choose Chris! So if a Kona is Chris Hemsworth, hurry up and take our money!

While we’ve established this swift little vehicle is a fabulous accessory, it also excels in other important areas like fuel economy and safety.

With the all-important five star ANCAP safety rating, reverse camera assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, driver attention warning and blind spot collision warning, the Kona has got you covered.

Andrew also loves the Head Up Display, which shows the speedo in front of the driver.

Zoe loves the wireless, compatible charger pad where you can just drop your phone and it will charge.

And they both love the seats that heat and cool, which are perfect for Aussie weather.

The Kona is really roomy for a small SUV and, of course, when you buy a Kona you get all the fabulous things that come with a Hyundai. There’s the 5 star safety rating, 10 year roadside assistance, five year unlimited kilometre warranty and a lifetime service plan.

Zoe and Andrew loved cruising around in the Kona and they both reckon you should drop into Maughan Thiem Hyundai at Cheltenham, take a Kona for a test drive and see for yourself.
