It was quite an honour to be asked by Father Christmas (or one of his helpers…we can’t be sure) to help him with a slight dilemma. Turns out lots of the girls on the good list have been asking for designer gifts this year, and after some number crunching at the North Pole it was determined that the budget simply would not stretch that far. Oh no for the good girls!

Never fear, She Shopped came to the rescue and accompanied Father Christmas on a shopping trip to Harbour Town Adelaide – South Australia’s only outlet shopping centre. Harbour Town is home to 130 outlet and specialty stores, including Mimco, Bonds, CUE, Oroton, Wittner, BNKR and a huge Witchery store.

Father Christmas noticed some changes at Harbour Town Adelaide since his last visit. You can now find some exciting new stores including one of Australia’s favourite vintage inspired fashion brands, Review. There’s also a Puma store, loaded with footwear, apparel and accessories at outlet prices and just in time for Christmas you’ll find Shaver Shop – so many great gift ideas in one spot.

Gazman, Oakley and Jo Mercer have all relocated to bright new locations within the centre. The Jo Mercer fit out is absolutely stunning and we found the store swarming with shoppers in search of a new season bargain. Father Christmas and I spent ages with the lovely Jo Mercer staff, working though his long list of good girls wanting shoes this Christmas – there was Anne, Sue, Michelle, Sarah, Holly, Andrea, Carol, Patricia, Felicity and Sabrina…just to name a few!

A visit to Harbour Town Adelaide is not complete without shopping and shakes thanks to The Wooden Spoon located at the Woolworths end of the centre. The ice creamery and dessert bar is so much fun for big and little kids. Their shakes are seriously delectable and they have a play area to keep the little tykes occupied while mum takes a breather. Light meals are also available – the coffee is good too!

If just like Father Christmas, your ‘to buy for list’ reads like a catalogue of designer brands, you can’t beat Harbour Town Adelaide. In one convenient location, you can shop fashion, footwear and homewares from leading brands at outlet prices. There is loads of parking too…even enough for a sleigh and eight reindeer!
