SEE HOW CREDIT UNION SA SUPPORTS SOUTH AUSTRALIAN EDUCATION.
Did you know that Credit Union SA was originally established by South Australian teachers over 60 years ago? They have been looking after education workers – and their families – ever since.
To show how much they appreciate education in this state, Credit Union SA offers teachers and other educators a wide range of support that extends beyond banking and financial services.
Credit Union SA helps more than 10,000 educators with their banking by offering banking benefits, financial seminars and workshops, dedicated mobile relationship managers, an award-winning credit card¹ and a car loan², all tailored for the education community. In fact, over 850 school staff rooms are visited by the team each year.
Providing an excellent source of inspiration, resources and news, the Teachers of SA Facebook community is coordinated by Credit Union SA.
An enormous $245,000 has been raised to support South Australian schools and over 180 education professional development events are sponsored by Credit Union SA.
Credit Union SA knows that the best way to recognise quality teachers is through their support of 18 annual awards, including Educators SA World Teachers’ Day Awards, Public Education Awards and numerous awards for teaching students at South Australian universities.
They are also a proud supporter of South Australian Science Teachers Association (SASTA) since 2001.
Credit Union SA are not the only folks who appreciate the good work that teachers and other educators perform.
Our intrepid team met with the children of Glenelg Primary and Henley High Schools. The aim? To discover what students are most thankful for when it comes to their teachers.
See the answers for yourself in our heart-warming video above. From our extensive research, we surmised that children appreciate their teachers for a variety of lovely and highly important reasons.
The overarching response was that these students feel safe, supported and encouraged. Whether it is problem solving big or small issues, dispute resolution, creating an inspiring learning environment or providing motivating and positive feedback, their teachers demonstrate that they really care about their students.
Teachers and other educators – you equip children to be the best version of themselves. We appreciate you!
