It’s happy hour with style blogger Sonia Bavistock and has she found the perfect wine for this occasion – Skinny Love!

As a self-proclaimed ‘Happy Hour Enthusiast’ Sonia, of ‘Sonia Styling’ fame, happily took on the arduous task of sampling Claymore Wines’ Viognier for us here at She Shopped.

Skinny Love by Claymore Wines

Located in the stunning Clare Valley in South Australia, award winning Claymore Wines are celebrating their 20th year in the industry.

From what began as small volumes of Grenache and Riesling, the winery who have signed a three-season deal with English soccer giants Liverpool Football Club, has grown to almost 15,000 cases per year across a highly awarded range of wines.

Sonia sampled Skinny Love, the Viognier by Claymore winemaker Marnie Roberts; an early harvest wine that displays floral notes of Jasmin and white peach.

Skinny Love is a soft, balanced wine, which will take you back to warm summer nights and cool breezes, and its stone fruit and honeydew melon on the finish make it a delicate and inviting wine, and at only 9.6% alcohol, it’s a wine to enjoy with class and sophistication.

Always a fan of a good label, fashion fanatic, Sonia loved the gorgeous appearance of the summer white’s bottle, with its elegant design and feminine feel. And at only $20, it’s the perfect bottle to share with your girlfriends at your happy hour catch ups.

Claymore say their labelling is inspired by some of the great music of modern time and bringing together great passions to create the ultimate experience.

“It’s called Skinny Love. All of our wines at Claymore are named after songs, but this one is special because it ticks so many boxes. A normal Sav Blanc can be up to 13.5% alcohol, this is 9.6%. That 4% difference is massive in an age of responsible consumption of beverages for enjoying life without over indulging, for safe driving and for those of us who like to be fit and healthy. It’s a Viognier and tastes fresh and bright, it’s light, fresh and delicate; this is prettiness personified.”
