She Shopped’s intrepid connoisseur of Adelaide’s pub scene is back at it again.  Hayesy, whose dulcet tones grace our city’s television screens and radio waves, is putting his passion for great food and drink to good use, bringing us the low down on the best venues around.

Last time, Hayesy visited Norwood’s historical gem, The Colonist. Catch up on that episode in the video below.

In this episode he’s headed to The Unley for it’s mouth-watering menu, epic gin cocktails and fantastic choice of function spaces.

Located conveniently close to the city in the leafy suburb of Parkside, The Unley is the perfect location for a wide range of occasions including engagement or birthday parties, corporate meetings and events, or even just casual large group get-togethers.  The Unley Hotel is a contemporary space with a free flowing layout and an open rooftop that boasts a retractable roof – perfect for sitting back and watch the world go by.   There are five function areas to choose from and parking is easy; you’ll find it at the rear of the hotel.

The menu has a modern take on pub classics, plus you can choose from delicious share plates and great dishes for the kids. Hayesy is particularly taken with one of the popular menu items available at the Unley – the Pork Three Ways; twice cooked pork belly and croquette – yum!  And of course Hayesy finished it off with the heavenly Nutella panna cotta.

The spirit of choice at the moment is gin, so if you’re at one with the trend you’re going to love it here.  There are some great cocktails and the menu is always changing.  The Unley prides itself on supporting local distilleries, wineries and breweries.

There’s always something new happening at The Unley. Keep up to date by visiting The Unley’s What’s On page on their website, or follow them on Facebook or Instagram.  Booking online is easy, so make your next catch up at The Unley.
