RING REMODELLING WITH CLASS A JEWELLERS

I’m not one to get attached to possessions, except for my engagement ring and wedding band. A decision to have them remodelled was not taken lightly – for starters they haven’t even left my hand for over a decade! I decided to have them remodelled with Class A Jewellers not to change the look but to rejuvenate them after eleven years of rough handling. I am a tomboy and generally very careless with my hands – even when I mow the lawns my rings come with me!

After an initial consult with Jewellery Designer, Daniel at Class A Jewellers, I knew I was making the right decision. He was sensitive to the fact I was sentimentally attached to the rings and thoroughly studied the rings to makes sure they were suitable for remodelling. He then took me though the re-design process and was even able to show me exactly how my remodelled rings would look on the computer.

I also liked how Daniel made some recommendations to improve the rings I already loved so much. I took his advice to have them remade in platinum which would make the diamonds “pop” and he also suggested to have my three main diamonds claw set, to show them off. The design of my wedding band remained the same except I had it remade in platinum instead of white gold.

After speaking with Daniel I was very inspired and realised just how much you can do with old or dated jewellery. My husband and I have been together since we were 15 and 16 and over the years he has given me a few simple diamond rings set in white gold which I decided to have melted down and made into an eternity band.

It felt strange leaving Class A Jewellers without my rings but I felt confident that my most prized possessions would be safe. Class A are unique because they offer jewellery manufacturing from their modern workshop located above their retail showroom, in Walkerville, South Australia. I knew my rings were safe in the hands of their team of qualified jewellers.

Three weeks later I excitedly returned to Class A Jewellers to see the team and collect my rings. The family values are so obvious at Class A. When owner, Brad, came out to ‘reveal’ my remodelled rings you could tell he was genuinely excited to share in what was a really special moment for me. I was both blown away by how amazing my rings looked at relieved that the sentimental feeling they had given me for over a decade was not lost. I have to say the addition of an eternity band really completed my set and now I can’t stop staring at my rings – it’s like I’m newly engaged all over again.

If you’ve thought about having your rings re-modelled – whether it be rejuvenation and subtle re-design like mine or a complete overhaul, you will be soundly guided by Jewellery Designer Daniel and the team of qualified jewellers at Class A. Mine was a wonderful experience and now I have three rings to always remind me of my “happily ever after”.
